Google TV just got a serious free upgrade thanks to the unlocking of 1,000s of movies and shows that can be watched completely for free through Freeplay. Along with the massive injection of on-demand content, Google TV Freeplay also increased the number of FAST channels as well.

For some time now, Google TV Freeplay has been a good option to consumer free content on Google TV. However, the free content has only been available to watch via FAST channels, meaning you had to tune in and watch whatever was on at that time.
This is what has now changed. Google TV Freeplay now includes a massive on-demand section stocked with more than 10,000 movies and shows. All of which are free to watch, and at anytime you want.
The on-demand library is live now and features hit titles from studios like A24 and Lionsgate. Examples of titles now available to stream include Lady Bird, Seventeen Again, and Hell’s Kitchen.
What’s more, Google has confirmed the library will be constantly refreshed throughout the year, ensuring there is always something new to watch for free and on demand.
Along with the huge on-demand library, Google has also increased the number of FAST channels available to stream through Freeplay. The new additions include World of Love Island, Bloomberg TV+, Yahoo! Sports Network, and The Martha Stewart Channel.
In total, Google says Freeplay now offers access to more than 300 FAST channels.
Whether interested in tuning in to one of these FAST channels and watching live, or streaming any of the newly-added on-demand content, Google TV users just need to open the Freeplay app on their device to begin streaming any of the free content.
