Just in time for the start of the World Cup, Google has made it easier for Google TV users to watch and track the action. Beginning today, World Cup related content can be accessed directly through the Sports section.

Google TV added a dedicated Sports page to the For You tab back in late 2024, and as way to bring a variety of sports content into one place.
Over time, that section has been updated to include more sports and sports events.
With the World Cup kicking off today, the Sports page on Google TV can now be used as another way to keep up with all of the action.
The updated section draws World Cup content from apps like Fox One, Tubi, and YouTube TV, making it possible to watch available live games, check recent results, and view upcoming schedules from soccer’s biggest global tournament.
The Sports section will also be a way to find additional World Cup related content from the same apps, including highlights and post-game analysis.
Soccer fans can expect the updated Sports page to continue to showcase World Cup content throughout the entire tournament. In other words, today (June 11) through July 19.
To access the Sports page, Google TV users just need to look for the ‘Summer of Soccer ’26‘ banners advertised on the For You tab and click on Explore more.
Alternatively, the Sports section can be accessed by navigating down the For You tab to the ‘What do you feel like watching?‘ section and selecting Sports.
