Following a recent price increase, the cost of a History Vault subscription has increased to $5.99 a month. While this appears to have been a relatively quiet increase, we have tracked the change down to within the last few weeks.
We regularly check in with streaming services for any changes, and as recently as July 27, History Vault was still advertising the older $4.99 a month rate. We’ve also narrowed down the new price being advertised as far back as August 3, pointing to the price increase having rolled out sometime during the week beginning July 29, 2024.
In addition to the increase in the monthly price, the annual History Vault plan has also now increased to $59.99, resulting in an increase of $10 a year.
Regardless of whether signing up to the monthly or annual plan, all new subscribers get access to a seven-day free trial to test out the streaming service.
It also looks like third party providers are now in varying states of updating their History Vault prices as well. For example, while Amazon Prime Video Channels has increased the price to $5.99 a month, The Roku Channel is still charging the older $4.99/mo rate for History Vault.
For some time now, A&E Networks has been offering the option to bundle A&E Crime Central, History Vault and Lifetime Movie Club together for $9.99 a month. In spite of the History Vault monthly and annual prices having gone up, the bundle doesn’t appear to have been affected by this price increase.
Likewise, A&E Crime Central and Lifetime Movie Club also haven’t increased in price.
