Hulu Live TV has added NFL Network to its channel lineup for free and also a new sports add-on that can be added to the existing base plan at an additional cost per month. The new additions follow similar moves by some of the other live TV streaming services to expand their sports coverage and availability.

Hulu Live TV’s base plan has encountered a couple of price increases over the years with the cost currently sitting at $64.99 per month. At the same time, the channel lineup has been changing with some channels being added while others have been removed. The latest change adds a new channel without any indications that the price is going to increase anytime soon.

Hulu has now added NFL Network to its base subscription plan at no additional cost to subscribers and just in time for the start of the 2021 football season. With NFL Network now available, subscribers will have an additional option for streaming live sports. For those in need of even more sports coverage, there’s also the new Sports add-on to consider.

Along with NFL Network, Hulu has added a new Sports add-on providing subscribers with six additional channels, including including NFL Redzone, opening up access to more live sports games, events and original shows. This channel pack costs $9.99 per month on top of the base plan price and provides subscribers with the following sports channels:

  • MAVTV
  • NFL RedZone
  • Outdoor Channel
  • Sportsman Channel
  • TVG
  • TVG2

The move to add NFL Network and the new Sports add-on is not totally surprising, considering similar moves have recently been made by competing services. For example, both YouTube TV and fuboTV now offer a Sports Plus add-on that adds a number of additional sports channels, with their add-ons priced similar to Hulu’s new option. At the same time as launching its Sports Plus add-on, YouTube TV also added NFL Network to its base plan at no additional cost to subscribers, just as Hulu has now done.

For reference, this is not the only add-on Hulu offers. While the service only has one main live TV plan, subscribers have the option of adding an $7.99 per month Entertainment add-on that expands the selection of entertainment channels. Along with Entertainment, Hulu Live TV subscribers now have the option of adding more sports channels, or just taking advantage of the NFL Network.
