Max is hoping to make it easier for users to navigate the interface and find content to watch through the launch of a new navigation menu. According to Warner Bros. Discovery, the phased rollout follows testing of the new menu in Latin America.
As the new menu is rolling out in stages, it is initially becoming available for a small number of users in the United States. It is also only visible on Adult profiles and, seemingly, only on connected TVs for now. Warner Bros. Discovery says the plan is to make the new menu available to more users over time.
Once available, the user will notice that the Home, Series, Movies, HBO, B/R Sports, and CNN Max shortcuts have been relocated from the top of the page to the menu located on the left. This is the same menu which already included Search, My Stuff, Settings, and Profiles.
While the change is designed to bring all the main categories and filters together in the one menu, Warner Bros. Discovery also notes that the removal of categories from the top section of the homepage will open up “additional real estate for content previews.”

As part of the same UI update, the Max app also now includes a new What’s New page. As the name suggests, this new section is designed to make it easier for users to find the very latest content available to stream on the service.
Users will also now have access to a new Categories section, offering a central location for browsing titles by genre, brand, and thematic collections.
