Netflix and EverPass Media have agreed a distribution deal for this year’s NFL Christmas Day games. The agreement ensures commercial businesses, including bars and restaurants, will be able to show the games on Dec. 25.
Earlier this year, the NFL and Netflix announced their own agreement, confirming that Netflix would be the streaming home of the two Christmas Day games. The two games in question are the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (1pm ET) and the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans (4:30 pm ET).
The agreement was not just for the U.S., but for the global market, making Netflix the only out-of-market place to stream these games. That’s at home anyway, as thanks to this latest agreement, bars, restaurants and other businesses, will now be able to stream the games via the EverPass platform.
“We look forward to working with Netflix on one of the biggest game days of the year to deliver these matchups to a wider audience,” said Alex Kaplan, CEO of EverPass Media.
In spite of only launching in 2023, EverPass is quickly becoming the go-to sports platform for commercial streaming. Over the past year, for example, EverPass agreed similar deals with Peacock for its exclusive sports content, Prime Video for Thursday Night Football, and the NFL for Sunday Ticket.
Netflix is also set to exclusively stream at lest one Christmas Day NFL game in 2025 and 2026 as part of its three-season deal. It currently remains to be seen whether the new agreement with EverPass also includes those future Christmas Day games as well.
