If you’ve been considering signing up to Paramount Plus, you can now take advantage of a 30-day free trial, and regardless of whether subscribing to the Essential plan or the Paramount+ with Showtime plan.

While Paramount Plus has always offered a free trial, it usually only lasts a maximum of seven days. For those that want a longer time to check the service out for free, Paramount Plus does routinely release various promo codes which increase the length of the free trial to 30 days.

Right now, however, Paramount Plus is offering 30 days for free, and without the need of a promo code. Instead, the option to sign up and watch for free for a full 30 days is now available as standard when signing up. According to Paramount, these extended free trials are available up until July 12.

The extended free trial is not only available regardless of whether subscribing to the Essential or Paramount+ with Showtime plan, but also regardless of whether signing up on a monthly or annual basis.

This change is directly related to the other big change that has taken effect today – a price increase. All Paramount Plus plans now cost more than they did before, with Essential increasing by $1 a month and Paramount+ with Showtime (formerly Premium) increasing by $2 a month.

The good news for ad-free subscribers, however, is that the premium plan does also now include access to Showtime content as well.

It is also worth noting that the extended free trial is only available to those signing up directly through the Paramount Plus website. For example, if attempting to sign up through a third-party provider, including Prime Video Channels, only a 7-day free trial is available. This is also in spite of third parties also now charging the higher Paramount Plus monthly prices.
