What You Need to Know

  • Paramount+ added around 700,000 subscribers in Q1 2026, and 1.8 million year over year.
  • Paramount+ generated $1.97 billion in revenue in Q1 2026, up 17% from the previous quarter.
  • Direct‑to‑consumer revenue climbed to $2.39 billion, a quarter‑over‑quarter and year‑over‑year increase.

Considering Paramount+ ended the fourth quarter, and 2025 as a whole, with 78.9 million subscribers, the streaming service managed to add around 700,000 subscribers between January and March.

On a year-over-year basis, Paramount+ ended the first quarter of 2025 with 77.8 million subscribers, resulting in an increase of 1.8 million subscribers.

From Paramount’s perspective, the quarterly and annual growth is all the more impressive when taking into account that the streaming service lost more than one million international hard bundle subscribers during the quarter.

The subscriber growth also comes during a quarter when Paramount+ increased prices, raising the minimum cost of a subscription up to $8.99 a month.

While Paramount expects to see additional subscriber growth during the current quarter (Q2 2026), the company also warned subscriber growth will once again be impacted by the exiting of more international hard bundle subscribers.

In terms of revenue, Paramount Skydance confirmed Paramount+ revenue for the quarter totaled $1.97 billion, a 17% increase on the $1.83 billion reported for the previous quarter.

Year over year, revenue for the most recent quarter was up on the $1.68 billion reported for the first quarter of last year.

Overall, direct-to-consumer revenue for the first quarter totaled $2.39 billion, up on the $2.31 billion reported for the fourth quarter of last year, and the $2.15 billion reported for the first quarter of 2025.
