Beginning today, Paramount+ subscribers will pay more for their subscription. Those signed up to the Essential plan will see their monthly price increase by $1, taking the monthly total up to $8.99 a month.
Those signed up to the Premium plan (formerly Paramount+ with Showtime) will also see their monthly price increase by $1, increasing to $13.99 a month.
With an increase to the monthly rates, annual subscriptions are also increasing in price. This latest increase raised the cost of the Essential annual plan to $89.99 a year and the Premium annual plan to $139.99 a year.
These new prices are specific to users in the U.S. and follow similar price increases that have rolled out in other countries recently, including Australia and Canada.
As previously explained, Paramount cited ongoing investment in content and improvements to the user experience as justification for the increase in subscription cost.
