Paramount+ is available to watch on Samsung smart TVs, but the app does require downloading first. There are also some other limitations and caveats that Samsung TV owners should be aware of, including which models are supported and how to sign in after downloading the app.
In general, Paramount+ supports a wide variety of platforms and devices, and this includes Samsung’s range of smart TVs. However, that doesn’t mean every Samsung TV is supported. At present, only 2017 and newer TV models running Tizen OS are compatible.
Downloading Paramount+ On A Samsung TV
There is another way to check whether the app is compatible with a specific Samsung TV and that’s to try and download the app on the TV.
Download Paramount+ on a Samsung TV:
- Press the Home button
- Tap on the Apps icon
- Click on the Search icon (top right)
- Search for “Paramount Plus“
- Select the Paramount+ app
- Click on Install
- Wait for the download to finish
The TV will need to be connected to the home Wi-Fi network to be able to download any apps. If the Paramount+ app does not show in the results when performing a search, it is likely that the specific Samsung smart TV model isn’t currently supported.
After downloading Paramount+ On A Samsung TV
With the app downloaded, there are still some things that need to be done to get up and running on a Samsung TV. Firstly a subscription is needed to watch Paramount+ so the consumer will need to sign up for a plan.
Paramount+ offers two main plan options, with the cheapest being the $7.99/mo Essential plan. For those that want access to Showtime and their local CBS station, as well as the ability to stream without ads, the Paramount+ with Showtime plan costs $12.99 a month.

It is possible for new subscribers to sign up on the TV, but only during the initial stages. As a result, new subscribers will also need access to another device, such as a computer, laptop or smartphone.
To start the process, click “Sign Up” in the Paramount+ app. You will then need to visit paramountplus.com/samsungtv on a computer, laptop, or mobile phone and enter the code shown on the TV screen. After entering the code, click/tap on “Activate.”
If no account, you can then create a Paramount+ account by picking a plan and signing up. Once the account has been created on the other device, the TV will automatically be authenticated, allowing the user to immediately start watching Paramount+ content on their Samsung TV.
Here’s a recap of those steps.
- Download the Paramount+ app
- Select Sign Up
- Visit paramountplus.com/samsungtv (on another device)
- Enter the code shown on the TV
