Peacock ended the first calendar quarter of 2026 with 46 million paid subscribers, an increase on the previous quarter and year.

  • Peacock’s subscriber base grew from 44 million to 46 million in Q1 2026, resulting in an additional 2 million paid subscribers.
  • The increase in paid subscribers was driven largely by the Winter Olympics and the Super Bowl.
  • Peacock surpassed $2 billion in quarterly revenue for the first time in Q1 2026, a 71% year‑over‑year increase.

Peacock ended the fourth quarter, and 2025 as a whole with 44 million paid subscribers. Considering Comcast today confirmed that number had risen to 46 million at the end of March, the streaming service managed to add around two million subscribers during the first months of 2026.

According to Comcast, the Winter Olympics and the Super Bowl both helped to drive subscriber growth during the first quarter of the year.

“Legendary February showcased the strength of our Media portfolio, leveraging the unmatched reach of the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics and the Super Bowl to drive record advertising and strong Peacock growth, while also powering our ability to market our connectivity products at scale,” said Brian L. Roberts and Mike Cavanagh, co-CEOs of Comcast Corporation.

In 2025 in general, Peacock didn’t add a huge amount of subscribers. Specifically, the service managed to add 8 million throughout the year, with the majority of those additions coming in the first and final quarters.

For example, Peacock ended the first quarter of 2025 with 41 million paid subscribers. In other words, and in spite of adding 2 million during the past three months, Peacock only saw a year-over-year increase of around five million paid subscribers.

Although not the largest year-over-year subscriber gains we’ve seen, it is important to note that Q1 2026 marked the second quarter in a row that Peacock saw subscriber growth.

To put this into perspective, the number of subscribers largely remained unchanged during the second and third quarters of last year. If Peacock can generate another quarter of subscriber growth this quarter, then it will likely be already on track to improve on last year.

A notable win for Peacock is that Comcast said the service’s revenue exceeded $2 billion in Q1 2026. This not only marked the first time that the service’s revenue surpassed $2 billion, but it also reflected a 71% year-over-year increase.
