Now might be the time to give the paid Peacock Premium plan a try, thanks to a new promotion that reduces the cost of a subscription down to just $1.99 per month. In fact, consumers that sign up to the annual plan during this month will pay even less than that over the course of 12 months.

Peacock is available in three pricing options with the cheapest being completely free. Of course, with it being free, the degree of content a user has access to is considerably less than with one of the paid tiers. The ad-free Premium Plus plan costs $9.99 per month while the standard Premium plan costs $4.99 per month and unlocks all of the content available to stream through Peacock.

During September, Peacock is running a promotion which reduces the cost of a subscription to the standard Peacock Premium plan to just $1.99 per month. The promotion is live now and available to new subscribers signing up through the Peacock website or through one of the various platform apps. Once signed up, the reduced rate will remain in effect for the first 12 months. After which, the subscription will automatically convert to the standard rate, resulting in a $4.99 monthly charged unless canceled.

Similar to other services, Peacock also offers an annual plan which results in additional savings. Normally, the cost of the standard annual Premium annual plan is $49.99, resulting in a saving of $9.98 (equivalent to 2 months) over the course of the full 12 months. During this promotional period, however, Peacock has reduced the cost of the annual plan to just $19.99, which averages out at just $1.66 per month.

At these rates, it might be worth giving Peacock a try. The service provides access to a wide selection of movies and shows, including some next-day episodes. This is in addition to some live sports coverage including English Premier League games. While the annual subscription will result in a lower overall cost over a 12-month period, the monthly plan will offer consumers greater control in terms of canceling the subscription if they feel Peacock isn’t the right service for them or their household.
