Peacock is increasing in price for the second year in a row, and the rolling out of the price increase appears to be strategically timed as well. The 2024 Olympic Games are scheduled to take place between July 26 and August 11, 2024 and Peacock is set to be the streaming home of this year’s summer games.

On July 18, one week before the start of the Paris Olympics, the price of both Peacock Premier tiers will increase by $2. This price increase will take the cost of the standard (with ads) Peacock Premium plan up to $7.99 a month and the cost of the ad-free Peacock Premium Plus tier up to $13.99 a month. Peacock also offers annual plans and those are also increasing in price, accordingly. As a result, the annual Peacock Premium plan will increase to $79.99 a year and the Peacock Premium Plus plan will go up to $139.99 a year.

While new subscribers will begin paying the higher rate on July 18, existing subscribers won’t see the price of their subscription increase before August 18, 2024. As is typically the case with price increases, the exact date any individual subscriber will see their cost go up depends on their individual billing cycle.

Up until last year, Peacock had remained one of a very short list of streaming services that hadn’t increased in price since launch. That changed in July of 2023 when the service implemented its first ever price increase. With the second price increase now coming just one year later, the cost of Peacock Premium has risen by $3, and Premium Plus by $4, since the first half of 2023.
