Peacock Premium Plus Subscribers Suddenly Seeing Ads On Everything

It looks like Peacock is currently encountering an issue where subscribers are seeing ads on everything. While Peacock does include ads, it is those paying for the Premium Plus ad-free plan that now seem to be encountering commercials.

Following the more recent price increase, the ad-supported Premium plan now costs $5.99 a month. For those wanting to watch without the ads, Premium Plus costs $11.99 a month, resulting in a $6/month premium.

In spite of being an ad-free plan, Peacock does make clear that Premium Plus subscribers will still occasionally encounter ads. As Peacock explains, “Due to streaming rights, a small amount of programming, Peacock channels, live events, and a few TV shows and movies, will still contain ads.”

Today, however, we have seen a surge in user reports of Premium Plus subscribers suddenly seeing ads everywhere. At present, it currently remains unclear what is causing the problem, but the sheer volume of user reports does suggest that this is a widespread issue, and likely to be a bug.

Peacock has yet to officially confirm the problem, so it also remains unclear how long it might take to be fixed. Likewise, it remains unclear if there are any workarounds that subscribers can make use of to temporarily fix the issue.

For now, if you are suddenly countering a lot more ads as a Peacock Premium Plus subscriber, just know that you’re not alone, and the problem will hopefully be fixed soon.

  1. I noticed this problem this morning. Shows that were ad free up until last night suddenly have multiple commercials imbedded in them. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a method for reporting the issue to Peacock via their website.
