Philo announced its new ‘A Better Way to TV‘ tagline today. This is part of a wider branding refresh Philo has been rolling out over the past few weeks, including the launch of a new logo and avatars early last month.

Developed in partnership with Sibling Rivalry, Philo explains the new ‘A Better Way to TV‘ tagline is designed to reflect “the ease and joy of streaming” with Philo. This is in addition to the live TV service’s “straightforward, audience-first approach.”

Philo also highlighted some of the other changes it has made recently as further evidence of how it is evolving in this direction, including the addition of AMC+ to its new Core package, and the availability of a wide selection of free, ad-supported channels without the need to sign up for a paid live TV plan.

Philo’s bold new visual approach lands at a thrilling time for the brand. Our audience-centric focus has driven the platform into new and exciting territories—including the rapid expansion of FAST channels and premium services, all under one roof,” said Matt Stein, Head of Brand & Creative Strategy at Philo.

With free and paid plans, as well as improvements to discovery and navigation, Philo wants new and existing subscribers to know that it is continually working towards offering “a better, more enjoyable, way to watch TV” and how it is continuing to position itself as a “simpler, more affordable alternative to traditional cable providers.”

On this last point, Philo says it understands how today’s media landscape is becoming more complicated and overwhelming than ever before, and this is where it hopes it can stand out from the crowd with its “promise of simplicity and value.”

With Philo’s new tagline only the latest in a series of changes, new and existing subscribers can probably expect more brand and feature updates to roll through in the coming weeks and months.
