Philo has updated its logo and branding with a new look and feel. The company just announced the update, so subscribers can expect the new design to become more apparent across Philo’s apps and social media accounts in the coming days and weeks.
While Philo hasn’t gone into much detail on the new design (yet), the most obvious change is a switch from the blue-and-white “Philo” logo to a new black logo, as shown above. Along with the black, and now visible on the company’s X account, there is more of a white/gray Philo logo against a black background as well.
As part of the same refresh, Philo is also in the process of making some changes to the user experience as well. So far, this mostly consists of the new logo, new fonts and colors, and a selection of new avatars.
The next time a user logs in to the Philo app or website they should see a notification confirming the arrival of the new avatars. The avatars make use of the same white/gray color as the new logo now in use on some social media channels.
For those that don’t like the look of the default avatar, it is possible to change to one of the other new avatars through the Settings section of the app or website.
The new look and design follows a change to the base package earlier this year. In June, Philo replaced its base plan with a new ‘Core’ plan. Although this resulted in a $3 monthly price increase, Core subscribers also now get access to AMC+ at no additional cost.
