As part a multi-year renewal agreement between Roku and the NFL, Roku’s NFL Zone is back for the 2024-25 season, and with some new features.
Launched for the first time last year, NFL Zone is basically a hub where football fans can more easily find a range of NFL content and programming. This not only includes links to live and upcoming games, but also access to weekly game previews, highlights, and additional content.
With the new season now here, Roku users will once again be able to access the NFL Zone from the Sports section of the Roku Home screen. And just in time for the new season, NFL Zone will boast some additional features that weren’t available last year.
Most notably, NFL fans will now have access to team-vs-team highlights for every game and the ability to watch off-season moments. Another upgrade for this year is the ability to purchase NFL+ using Instant Signup and Roku Pay.
While this won’t make the cost of an NFL+ subscription any cheaper, it should make it a little easier for those already using Roku Pay for purchases to subscribe and manage the subscription. Making the process even easier, the NFL app can be accessed directly through the NFL Zone section, along with the NFL’s FAST channel.
As a reminder Roku also launched a new ‘Roku Sports Channel’ last month. The free sports network is available now and can be accessed directly through The Roku Channel. Not to mention, a new ‘GMFB: Overtime’ NFL show is also now available to stream for free on the Roku Channel
