Tubi has been very busy over the weekend. In addition to streaming the Super Bowl, the company also launched a new Genre-ology quiz where viewers can discover the genres they were ‘born to binge.’

The new quiz, and a new ‘Cowboy Head‘ Super Bowl ad, were launched as part of Tubi’s wider ‘If It’s In You, It’s In Here‘ marketing campaign. In addition to the main Super Bowl ad, Tubi also launched three brand spots in the form of movie trailers.

While not real movies, Tubi says that it will consider making them into Tubi Originals if they get enough support. According to Tubi, the company “will gauge social conversation around the spots” and use this feedback to determine whether they eventually end up becoming feature films (or series) in the future.

We’ve seen Tubi fans on social media respond to unbelievable moments with – ‘that should be a Tubi movie.’ Bringing that meme to life is what inspired this campaign,” said Nicole Parlapiano, CMO at Tubi.

You can check out the new Trial & Terror, My Gummy Hero, and Greasers From Space movie trailers below.

Along with being a clever approach to marketing a brand, Tubi is also using the new ‘movie trailers’ to highlight to advertisers the novel ways the free streaming service can be used for marketing in the future.

We wanted to show marketers that we mean business and our creative breaks through with our massive, engaged audience on our platform. Whether it’s partnering on creative for a campaign on Tubi, creating a bespoke integration into a Tubi Original, or taking over the platform with in-app branding – Tubi is in the business of creating entertaining, streaming-first brand moments,” added Parlapiano.
