Sling TV is now offering the option to sign up and watch live TV for free up until August 20, 2022. In essence, this is just a glorified free trial, but it is still a good deal by free trial standards, and especially for Sling TV. Furthermore, this deal is only available for a very limited time.

Most of the live TV streaming services do offer the option to watch for free before having to pay. Generally speaking, live TV services rarely offer free trials that are longer than seven days. Unlike other services, Sling TV doesn’t continuously offer a free trial throughout the year. Even when a Sling TV free trial is available, it tends to only be for a few days.

This is what makes this free trial offer pretty good as it is a long free trial. However, unlike any other free trial that’s currently available, this is a diminishing free trial so those that sign up first will benefit the longest. Essentially, regardless of when signing up through the Sling TV website, the free trial will come to an end on the same day, August 20. However, the extended free trial is only available to accounts that sign up before August 4. Therefore, the maximum free trial an account can get is 20 days while the minimum is 16. As to be expected, this promotion is also only available to new Sling TV accounts.

Most of the other usual limitations and restrictions also apply. In other words, the offer cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions. In addition, the subscriber will automatically be charged the first full month when the free trial comes to an end, unless they have manually canceled the subscription before then. How much they will be charged will depend on the plan chosen when setting up the subscription. Sling TV’s plans start at $35 per month and can be customized to include additional channel packs and premium networks at an additional cost each month.

For those that have been considering giving Sling TV a try, this is a pretty good deal. With a minimum 16-day free trial available, that’s longer than what any other live TV service is currently offering, providing the subscription is started by this Thursday (August 4th).
