Sling TV is offering access to its Kids Extra add-on for free all this weekend, although the exact channels a subscriber gets access to depends on their plan.

For some time now, Sling has been running a Freeview Weekends promotion that unlock access to different premium networks for free for a limited time. Last week, Sling TV subscribers got access to Discovery Plus for free, and the week before that, it was the turn of Hallmark Channel.

This latest Kids Extra free preview went live today (July 21) and remains active through July 25. Unlike previous free previews, however, the exact channels a subscriber has access to depends on their base plan. For example, Sling Orange subscribers have been gifted a free preview of Disney Junior and Disney XD, while Sling Blue subscribers have now gained access to NickToons and TeenNick for free.

For reference, those signed up to the combined Orange & Blue package get access to Disney Jr., Disney XD, NickToons and TeenNick.

As this is a free preview, there’s nothing for subscribers of either package to do to enable the channels. Likewise, subscribers wont have to worry about canceling the add-on either. The free access will simply be revoked at the end of the free preview.

For any homes that decide they would like to retain access to these channels after the free preview ends, Kids Extra costs an additional $6 a month and can be added to any of Sling TV’s base plans at any time.

Similar to this free preview, the exact channels a Sling TV subscriber gets access to depends on whether they are signed up to Orange or Blue.

If new to Sling TV, both the Sling Orange and Sling Blue plans start at $40 per month. New subscribers should note that Sling is currently running a promotion that reduces the cost of either base plan down to $20 for the first month.

For those wanting the best of what Sling has to offer, the combined Sling Orange & Blue package normally costs $55 per month. However, the same 50% off promotion lowers the cost of the first month down to $27.50.
