The CW Network and Gray Media have reached a comprehensive affiliate renewal agreement. The deal ensures viewers of 38 Gray-owned television stations in the United States will continue to have access to CW programming.

While financial terms were not disclosed, Nexstar says the latest agreement covers more than 12 million TV homes, almost 10% of the television audience in the U.S.

Over the past few months, The CW has been busy making moves to provide viewers with access to even more sports. For example, striking deals for sports programming including Pac-12 college football, ACC college football and basketball, NASCAR Xfinity Series Racing, WWE NXT wrestling, and LIV Golf.

Outside of Gray Media, The CW has also been busy striking new deals, and/or renewing existing agreements, with stations, including the recent confirmation of new affiliates in Tucson, Santa Barbara and Corpus Christi. These latest affiliates follow confirmation that Nexstar has also reached a new multi-year renewal agreement with Paramount Global, covering the renewal of CBS stations in 42 markets across the United States.

As part of the same Paramount agreement, two Paramount-owned independent stations (WBFS-TV in Miami and WKBD-TV in Detroit) are set to become CW Network affiliates on September 1.
