Parks Associates has released its top 10 streaming services list for 2024. Based on estimated subscribers, Prime Video tops 2024’s top 10 US subscription streaming video services rankings.
This is actually no different to last year, as Amazon’s Prime Video also topped Parks Associates’ top 10 US subscription streaming video services for 2023 list as well. Netflix ranked second, marking the third year in a row that Prime Video and Netflix held the top two positions.
Here’s the full top 10 list for 2024:
- Prime Video
- Netflix
- Disney+
- Hulu – SVOD
- Peacock
- Max
- Paramount+
- Apple TV+
- ESPN+
- YouTube Premium
In general, the list contains the same 10 services as last year, and while there was no change at the top, there was a change in third place. Replacing Hulu, Disney+ ranked third in this year’s top 10 list, pushing Hulu down to fourth (Disney+’s position in 2023).
Proably more notably was Peacock. While Peacock ranked eigth last year, NBCUniversal’s streaming service climbed to fith in this year’s list. This also resulted in Max and Paramount+ dropping a position, down to sixth and seventh respectively.
A final change with this year’s top 10 saw Apple TV+ climbing up to eighth, regaining the position it held in 2021 and 2022. This year’s change came at the cost of ESPN+, which dropped down two places to ninth, assuming Apple TV+’s position from last year.
Closing out the list was YouTube Premium. Considering YouTube Premium ranked tenth last year, YouTube’s subscription service saw no change.
