It might not cost anything to watch Tubi but that doesn’t mean you can’t spend money through the platform. The free streaming service has now launched a new shoppable experience.

In partnership with Shopsense AI, the first of these shoppable experiences comes in the form of The Tubi Red Carpet Shop.

Released ahead of the upcoming Super Bowl LIX, and themed to match Tubi’s exclusive Tubi Red Carpet at Super Bowl LIX pre-game show, The Tubi Red Carpet Shop offers users the ability to purchase items related to the Super Bowl within curated digital stores.

According to Tubi, products available through the digital storefronts, include “essentials for your game day party, trends inspired by WAGs, audio products inspired by music from The Big Game and team apparel and fan gear.”

Those interested in shopping on Tubi now through game day can do so by visiting shop.tubi.tv. The Tubi Red Carpet Shop storefronts are scheduled to remain available through February 9th.

Our commitment to delivering premium entertainment that is free and accessible, combined with an incremental audience that is incredibly passionate about our content, allows us to experiment in ways that are tangible and truly interactive,” said Jeff Lucas, Chief Revenue Officer, Tubi.

Assuming Tubi finds the current shoppable experience to be successful, it seems likely that users of the free streaming service can expect similar shoppable experiences to become available in the future.

Shoppable integrations are the next frontier for ad-supported streaming services, and we look forward to continuing to explore what’s possible with Shopsense AI,” added Lucas.

As a reminder, this year is a big football year for Tubi. While the Super Bowl LIX will be available to watch on Fox, the entire game can also be streamed live, and completely for free, on Tubi. This is in addition to select pre-and-post-game day programming, including the service’s exclusive Tubi Red Carpet at Super Bowl LIX pre-game show.
