UP Entertainment has confirmed that it will launch two new subscription streaming services by the end of the year. UP Entertainment already owns and operates UPtv, AspireTV, AspireTV Life, Cine Romántico, and UP Faith & Family.

The two new additions are GaitherTV Plus (GaitherTV+) and AspireTV Plus (AspireTV+). As to be expected with UP Entertainment, the two new services are designed to compliment the company’s existing portfolio of uplifting and entertaining content.

The new GaitherTV Plus subscription service offers access to content from American singer and songwriter of Southern gospel and contemporary Christian music, Bill Gaither. The service not only unlocks access to full-length concerts and specials, but also premieres and exclusives, behind-the-scenes interviews and presentations, and hundreds of on-demand titles.

As the name suggests, AspireTV Plus is designed to be an extension of the existing AspireTV network. According to UP Entertainment, the goal of AspireTV Plus is to become “the ultimate destination for Black culture and urban lifestyle.” AspireTV Plus will be home to a diverse selection of movies, series, independent films, and documentaries, and provide access to an on-demand library that spans topics including fashion and beauty and food and travel

UP Entertainment has yet to announce the price for either subscription service, but did confirm that AspireTV Plus is due to launch in the fourth quarter of this year, and that GaitherTV Plus will be an ad-free service.

For reference, the launch of the two new subscription services are not expected to affect the company’s UP Faith & Family subscription service, which was confirmed to have more than one million subscribers. Instead, all of the streaming services will be offered as standalone subscriptions to cater to the unique streaming needs of different homes.
