A standard YouTube TV subscription includes access to USA Network at no additional charge. Not only does YouTube TV provide access to the live channel, but also on-demand content and TV Everywhere support as well. In general, YouTube TV offers a wide variety of live TV channels with its base subscription, resulting in access to a good mixture of news, entertainment and sports.
A standard YouTube TV subscription costs $64.99 per month and unlocks access to more than 85 live TV channels as as well as an unlimited cloud DVR for recording live TV. For those interested in even more channels, YouTube TV also offers add-ons that can be bundled with the base subscription. As to be expected, taking advantage of any of these add-ons will result in a higher cost each month.
For fans of USA shows and movies, the channel is included in the base YouTube TV subscription. In other words, if new to YouTube TV and considering signing up to the standard $69.99 plan, USA Network is included at no extra cost. If already subscribed to the standard YouTube TV plan, the channel is already available to access without the need to upgrade. For reference, USA Network is owned by NBCUniversal, and YouTube TV provides access to most of the other NBCU channels as well.
YouTube TV is a fairly rich service overall and includes the ability to watch on-demand content as well. This not only means subscribers can watch the live USA channel but also many USA shows and movies at any time via on demand. YouTube TV also offers TV Everywhere support for USA. This makes it possible to head over to the USA Network website, log in with the subscriber’s YouTube TV account details, and then watch additional USA content. TV Everywhere support is also included at no additional charge with a YouTube TV subscription.
Cheaper ways to stream USA Network
While YouTube TV is a good option for watching USA Network, it is also an expensive one. Granted, it is not as expensive as some other services, but at $64.99 per month, there are cheaper services available. One of the cheapest ways to watch USA Network is through Sling TV. Specifically, the $35 per month Sling Blue plan. Sling offers two main base plans for subscribers to choose from, Sling Orange and Sling Blue. Both plans cost $35 per month and do come with many of the same channels. However, USA Network is only available with the $35 Sling Blue package.
Alternatively, Hulu Live TV might also be worth considering as an option for USA Network. Technically, Hulu is more expensive than YouTube TV with the cheapest plan costing $69.99 per month. However, not only does the channel lineup include USA at this price, but a standard subscription also provides access to Disney Plus, ESPN Plus and basic Hulu as well. If already paying for one or more of these services, subscribers may find they save each month by opting for a Hulu Live TV subscription instead of paying for YouTube TV and the additional Disney/ESPN/Hulu standalone subscriptions. Exactly how much they’ll save will depend on how many of the standalone services they are signed up to.
Even though these other live TV streaming services are cheaper or offer more value for the same price, it is important to keep in mind that the rest of the channel lineups and features may differ from YouTube TV. If access to USA Network is what matters the most, then it may be worth considering these other services. Otherwise, the rest of the benefits and limitations will need to be weighed up when deciding which one is ultimately the best option.
Service | USA Network | Price | Channels |
---|---|---|---|
YouTube TV | ✔ | $64.99 | 85+ |
Sling TV | ✔ | $35 | 40+ |
Hulu Live TV | ✔ | $69.99 | 75+ |
YouTube TV and USA summary
YouTube TV is a good option for watching USA Network over the internet, but at $64.99 per month it’s not the cheapest option. Sling TV also provides access to USA and at almost half the price of YouTube TV. Likewise, Hulu Live TV costs $5 more than YouTube TV each month and not only includes USA, but also basic Hulu, Disney Plus, and ESPN Plus as well. However, the rest of the channel lineups and features do differ, so some may find YouTube TV is a better option for USA and in general.
In addition to access to the live USA Network channel, YouTube TV also offers an unlimited DVR making it possible to record as many USA shows and movies as a household wants. This is also in addition to access to on-demand USA content and even TV Everywhere support. The latter of which makes it possible to watch directly through the USA website and apps.
