Considering Warner Bros. Discovery closed the first quarter of 2025 with 122.3 million streaming subscribers, the company managed to add around 3.4 million between April and June of this year.

With the company also having closed the second quarter of 2024 with 103.3 million global direct-to-consumer subscribers, Warner Bros. Discovery added more than 20 million over the past year.

In terms of domestic subscribers, Warner Bros. Discovery ended the most recent quarter with 57.8 million. This represented a very slight increase on the 57.6 million reported for Q1 2025, and an increase on the 52.4 million reported for Q2 2024.

With only a slight increase in domestic subscribers during Q2 2025, most of the subscriber gains came internationally.

Warner Bros. Discovery closed the second quarter with 67.9 million international subscribers, an increase on the 64.6 million reported for the first quarter of the year, and an increase on the 50.8 million reported for the second quarter of last year.

The company also reported an 8% year-over-year increase in streaming revenues, along with a 10% year-over-year increase in subscriber-related revenues.

During the second quarter, Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed plans to split into two different companies. The separation is expected to take place in mid-2026 and will result in the creation of the Warner Bros. and Discovery Global companies.
