Starting at $40 a month, Sling TV is the cheapest way to watch Syfy without cable. Although Sling TV offers more than one plan, the Sling Blue package is the only one that includes Syfy. Sling TV also offers a combined Orange & Blue plan which brings together all of the channels from the two plans, including Syfy.

Before signing up to a live TV service, it might be worth considering Peacock. A standalone Peacock Premium subscription starts at $7.99 a month and provides access to a wide library of content, including Syfy original shows. While Peacock won’t provide provides access to the live Syfy channel, it may offer enough Syfy content for some homes.

Sling TV offers two main plans, Sling Orange and Sling Blue. Although both plans come with similar channel lineups, there are some differences, with Syfy a prime example. While Syfy is included with Sling Blue, it is not available with the Sling Orange plan.

For reference, Sling also offers an ‘Orange & Blue’ package, bringing together the channel lineups for both Sling Orange and Sling Blue, making it another option for those looking to stream Syfy. The combined Orange & Blue plan starts at $55 a month.

Other Ways To Watch Syfy

The next cheapest option is YouTube TV. Starting at $72.99 a month, YouTube TV is more expensive than Sling TV, but it also comes with a much richer channel lineup, unlocking access to more than 100 channels in total. Subscribers also get access to an unlimited DVR and premium features.

A final option is Fubo. Starting at $79.99 a month, Fubo’s cheapest Pro plan unlocks access to more than 180 channels, including Syfy. It is worth noting that Fubo subscribers in many locations are subject to an RSN fee, which can increase the monthly cost by as much as $16 a month.

Syfy And TV Everywhere

In addition to watching Syfy directly through a live TV service’s app, TV Everywhere makes it possible to watch the live Syfy channel, as well as a selection of on-demand content, through the NBC app and website.

TV Everywhere support still requires a paid live TV subscription, so it won’t make watching the live channel any cheaper. However, it can be a useful feature to have access to, so long as the live TV service supports the feature.

This is less of an issue with Syfy, as Sling TV, YouTube TV, Hulu Live TV, DirecTV Stream, and Fubo all provide TV Everywhere support for the channel to subscribers. Considering Sling’s TV Everywhere support list includes Syfy, those signing up to the cheapest service don’t miss out on TV Everywhere support.
