The 99 cents deal applies to the standard Discovery+ (ad-supported) tier. For those wanting an ad-free streaming experience, the same promotion drops the price of Discovery+ (Ad-Free) down to $1.99 a month for the first three months. Both discounts are available now through September 30, 2024.
If you prefer to get your subscriptions through a third-party provider, the same deal is also now available through Amazon Prime Video (sign up), Apple (sign up), Google Play (sign up), and Roku (sign up), so there’s no need to sign up directly through Discovery+ if you don’t want to.
Regardless of the plan and how you sign up, the Discovery+ subscription will auto-renew at the usual price after the third discounted month. In other words, Discovery+ (ad supported) will renew at $4.99 a month and Discovery+ (Ad-Free) will renew at $8.99 a month.
