YouTube TV Spanish Plan Explained: Price, Channels and More

Channels included with YouTube TV's Spanish Plan

In addition to the base plan, YouTube TV also offers a Spanish Plan. This alternate base package costs $34.99 a month and unlocks access to more than 30 Spanish-language live TV channels, thousands of hours of on-demand content, and many of the other benefits that typically come with a YouTube TV subscription.

Spanish Plan price and features

At $34.99, the Spanish Plan is less than half the price of the main base package, making it a good option to consider for those in need of access to a Spanish-only live TV lineup, or if simply looking to save on the cost of live TV.

In addition to the live channels and on-demand content, Spanish Plan subscribers also get access to an unlimited DVR, making it possible to record as much content as they want, and the ability to share a single subscription with up to 5 other people (a total of 6 accounts can share the one subscription).

As the Spanish Plan is an alternative to the main base package, there is no need to already be signed up to the base package. Likewise, existing base plan subscribers can easily switch to the Spanish Plan at any time.

All Spanish Plan subscribers get access to the following live TV channels.

While YouTube TV doesn’t technically offer any add-ons with the Spanish Plan, it does offer the option to sign up to a wide selection of premium networks and services without the need for a base plan. As a result, it is possible to add various additional services separately at a later time.

Spanish Plan vs Spanish Plus

While the Spanish Plan is offered as an alternative package to the main base plan, YouTube TV also offers a Spanish Plus add-on. The main difference between these two options is that Spanish Plus does require an active subscription to YouTube TV’s main base plan.

Another major difference is the price. While the standalone Spanish Plan costs $34.99 a month, the Spanish Plus add-on costs just $14.99 a month. In spite of the much cheaper price, the Spanish Plus add-on comes with an almost identical selection of live TV channels.

All Spanish Plus add-on subscribers get access to the following live TV channels.

  • Antena 3
  • Baby TV Español
  • Bandamax
  • Cine Mexicano
  • Cine Sony
  • Cinelatino
  • CNN en Español
  • De Película
  • De Película Clásico
  • Discovery en Español
  • Discovery Familia
  • ESPN Deportes
  • Estrella TV
  • FOROtv
  • Fox Deportes
  • Hogar de HGTV
  • NTN 24
  • Nuestra Tele
  • Pasiones
  • Tastemade en Español
  • Telehit
  • Telehit Música
  • Tlnovelas
  • Tr3s
  • TyC Sports
  • Universo
  • WAPA América
  • The Weather Channel en Español

Overall, the main difference in the channel lineups is the inclusion of Galavisión, TUDN and UniMás with the Spanish Plan. As the main base package already includes both Galavisión and UniMás, TUDN is ultimately the main difference between the Spanish Plan and Spanish Plus add-on at the channel level.

YouTube TV Spanish Plan free trial

For those still unsure of whether the Spanish Plan is right for them, all new subscribers get access to a 7-day free trial. As a result, it is possible to test out the package before having to make the first monthly payment. Even if you’ve previously signed up to the main base package, you should still find that you can test out YouTube TV’s Spanish Plan for free for the first seven days.
