Amazon has now added a Clips short-form video feed to its Prime Video app. The new scrollable feed provides users with another way to find movies and series to watch.

What You Need to Know

  • Amazon’s TikTok‑style Clips feed gives users a new, scrollable way to browse movies and series.
  • Clips are tailored to each viewer’s watch history and include options to start watching, save titles, or share clips.
  • Initially limited to select U.S. users, Clips will reach all devices this summer, joining similar vertical‑video feeds from Disney+, Netflix, Peacock, and Tubi.

Technically, Amazon‘s Clips is not a completely new feature, as it did previously become available as a way for Prime Video users to consume NBA highlights during the 2025-26 season.

However, the feature is now in the process of rolling out more broadly, and with movies and series supported, users are far more likely to encounter the video feed when using the Prime Video app.

Initially available to select customers in the United States on iOS, Android, and Fire tablets, the Clips video feed includes short clips from movies and series, with videos selected based on the user’s viewing history.

“As a first-stop entertainment destination, Prime Video offers customers a vast selection of premium content, and we want to make it as easy and seamless as possible for them to discover what’s most relevant,” said Brian Griffin, director of global application experiences at Prime Video.

In addition to acting as previews, Clips are also a shortcut within the app, allowing users to quickly click through to watch the full movie or series.

Any titles encountered through Clips can just as easily be saved to the user’s watchlist, liked to help fuel future recommendations, or shared with others.

“Clips gives customers a whole new way to browse with short, personalized snippets tailored to their interests. Whether they have a few minutes to scroll or are looking for something to watch when they have more time, entertainment is just a tap away,” added Griffin.

Following the initial rollout happening now, Amazon says the Clips experience is expected to becoming fully available to all users and across all supported devices this summer.

Prime Video is only the latest streaming service to launch a dedicated, vertical-style feed to its app.

Disney’s Verts, Netflix’s Clips, and Peacock’s Can’t Miss Clips, have all rolled out in recent months and offer a very similar experience.

Even the free streaming service Tubi has rolled out a version, with its Scenes allowing mobile users to scroll through and watch short clips of movies and TV shows.
