Those using one of Comcast‘s Xfinity or Xumo streaming devices now have the option of using the Crunchyroll app to access a wide library of anime that includes over 25,000 hours of content and 50,000 episodes across more than 2,000 titles.

With the app now available, users can access Crunchyroll on Comcast’s Xfinity X1, Xfinity Flex and Xumo Stream Box, as well as the ever-increasing number of Xumo TVs that are now available from a variety of retailers in the U.S.

Those interested in giving the new app a try can now locate Crunchyroll in the Apps menu on Xfinity and Xumo devices, or by saying “Crunchyroll” into their voice remote.

The arrival of Xfinity or Xumo device support adds to the growing number of supported devices. Earlier this year, for example, Crunchyroll gained support for Samsung smart TVs and this was quickly followed by LG smart TVs. With Xfinity and Xumo support, even more homes will now be able to access the app.

We’re excited to bring Crunchyroll to Comcast’s entertainment devices, expanding the availability of our extensive anime library for Xfinity and Xumo customers to enjoy their favorite anime,” said Rahul Purini, President at Crunchyroll. “Whether they’re longtime anime enthusiasts or newcomers, viewers can now easily discover and enjoy our vast catalog of series and films. This collaboration marks a significant step in making anime even more accessible to fans across the U.S.

If new to the anime streaming service, Crunchyroll does offer a free, ad-supported tier. However, those wanting unlimited access to the catalog, as well as an ad-free viewing experience, will need to consider signing up to one of Crunchyroll’s premium plans, starting at $7.99 a month.

Earlier this week, Comcast agreed a new distribution deal with Warner Bros. Discovery. The deal opens up the possibility of Max and Discovery+ to be included in a Comcast bundle in the future.
