What You Need to Know

  • DAZN is purchasing EverPass Media in a bid to expand its commercial sports business in U.S. venues like bars and hotels.
  • The acquisition secures premium broadcasting rights including the exclusive commercial distribution for NFL Sunday Ticket.
  • Existing investors, including the NFL’s 32 Equity and RedBird Capital Partners, will become shareholders in DAZN.

Launched in the first half of 2023, EverPass was created as a joint venture between the NFL‘s investment arm and RedBird Capital Partners, with the primary goal of catering to commercial venues like bars, restaurants and hotels.

Since then, the company has gone on to forge commercial partnerships with a number of streaming platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple, DirecTV, Netflix, Paramount+, and Peacock.

Now, the company is being purchased by DAZN. According to the announcement, the purchase will help to further accelerate DAZN’s U.S. expansion, most notable through the exclusive commercial distribution rights for NFL Sunday Ticket.

This is an important step in DAZN’s journey to become a global home of sport. EverPass Media gives us a proven commercial distribution platform, deep relationships across U.S. venues, and an attractive portfolio of premium rights that perfectly complements our growing U.S. business,” said Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group.

Today’s acquisition also marks the full global launch of DAZN for Business (the new name for EverPass), which will combine DAZN’s sports content and existing commercial reach with EverPass’ U.S. streaming and technology capabilities.

Last month, MSG Networks and YES Network were also confirmed to be moving to DAZN during the 2026-2027 NBA and NHL seasons, as part of an exclusive direct-to-consumer streaming rights deal for both networks.

With the company embarking on new deals at both the consumer and commerical levels, DAZN is continuing to position itself as a one-stop solution for sports in the U.S.

DAZN can now serve every type of customer in the U.S. – from individual sports fans using the DAZN app to commercial venues looking to provide the best possible viewing experience for their customers,” added Segev.

As part of the agreement, RedBird Capital Partners, TKO Group Holdings, and 32 Equity (the investment arm of the NFL) will become shareholders in DAZN.

We are excited to expand our partnership with DAZN through this acquisition and continue to work with EverPass and DAZN to deliver the best NFLST experience to the commercial marketplace. Together, we will continue to expand reach for commercial NFL Sunday Ticket and deepen engagement in a key segment where fans gather for NFL football,” said Hans Schroeder, Executive Vice President, Media Distribution, National Football League.
