What You Need to Know

  • DirecTV now sells a bundled MyEntertainment + MyNews pack at a cheaper price than buying both separately.
  • The bundle includes 70+ channels as well as access to AMC+, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hulu.
  • New subscribers can currently save an additional $15/mo on their first two months.

Technically, MyEntertainment + MyNews isn’t a new Genre Pack. Instead, DirecTV is now offering the option to bundle the two existing MyEntertainment and MyNews Genre Packs at a cheaper price than usual.

Following the most recent price increase, MyEntertainment now costs $42.99/mo and MyNews costs $44.99/mo. At these prices, subscribing to both would typically result in a monthly bill of $87.98.

With the new bundled Genre Pack priced at $74.99/mo, subscribers save around $13 each month. What’s more, new subscribers can currently get MyEntertainment + MyNews Duo for just $59.99/mo for the first 2 months when signing up, saving an additional $30 over the two months.

Following the first two discounted months, the MyEntertainment + MyNews Duo Genre Pack auto-renews at the usual monthly rate, currently $74.99/mo, unless canceled.

With the Duo Genre Pack bringing together channels from each Genre Pack, subscribers get access to a selection of entertainment channels like A&E, Bravo, FX, and HGTV, as well as a variety of news channels like C-Span, CNBC, CNN, Fox News, NBC, and Newsmax.

In addition to the 70+ channels included in the Duo Genre Pack, MyEntertainment + MyNews subscribers also get access to AMC+, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hulu at no additional cost.
