DirecTV Price Increases — Here’s How Much MyEntertainment and Other Genre Packs Now Cost

If you missed the news last month, DirecTV planned to increase the price of many of its Genre Packs this month. As we previously reported, the increases were due to come into effect on June 25, 2026.

As that’s today, new subscribers signing up to any of the affected Genre Packs will now pay the new, higher rates.

Existing customers subscribed to any of the affected Genre Packs can also expect their price to increase over the next few weeks.

Here are the new prices.

With the price increasing by $8 a month, MyEntertainment is the worst affected Genre Pack. Coincidence or not, DirecTV recently added AMC+ to MyEntertainment.

With a standalone AMC+ subscription costing $7.99/mo, the price increase seems to directly match the cost of the recently added premium subscription.

Fanatiz was also added to the MiEspañol Genre Pack at the same time, offering subscribers access to more sports and soccer content.

Along with its Genre Packs, DirecTV also offers a small selection of Mini Packs. Basically, add-ons for Genre Packs.

In addition to the bundling of AMC+ with MyEntertainment, and Fanatiz with MiEspañol, DirecTV also recently added Shudder to the MyCinema Mini Pack.

Not All Genre Packs Increased in Price

While this round of price increases has impacted many Genre Packs, it hasn’t impacted all of them. For example, MySports and MySports & MyNews Duo both appear to have avoided any increase.

Likewise, the MyHome Team Mini Pack also hasn’t increased in price.

Whether these packages and add-ons will face their own increase in the near future remains unclear right now, but it is a possibility.

There also doesn’t appear to be any changes to the company’s Signature Packages.
