If you’ve been considering signing up to DirecTV Stream, now is probably the right time to do it, as the live TV service has dropped the price of its Entertainment plan down to just $49.99 a month for the first three months. In DirecTV’s own words, this is its “best price ever.”
Considering Entertainment normally costs $79.99 a month, new subscribers are saving $30 each month, resulting in a total saving of $90 over the full three months. The promotion also doesn’t seem to affect the free trial, with all new subscribers still able to get the first five days for free.
$80-165/mo
- 90-185 channels
- Unlimited streams
- Unlimited DVR
Deal: Save up to $60 on 3 months.
As a reminder, Entertainment is the cheapest package offered by DirecTV Stream and unlocks access to more than 90 live TV channels. For those interested in a richer channel lineup, Choice, Ultimate and Premier are also currently on sale as well.
Here’s a breakdown of all of the savings currently on offer.
DirecTV Stream | Usually | Now |
---|---|---|
Entertainment | $49.99 | |
Choice | $69.99 | |
Ultimate | $89.99 | |
Premier | $134.99 |
Based on the prices above, Choice is actually the best deal, as subscribers save $39 each month compared to the $30 saving on offer with each of the other plans. Choice is also the minimum tier that includes regional sports networks, so that’s something to keep in mind for sports fans hoping to access their local RSNs over the next few months.
According to the terms and conditions, these lower prices are due to remain available up until September 5, 2024. Providing that is the case, new subscribers have a little under one month to sign up at the lower prices.
As is usually the case with DirecTV Stream deals and promotions, the current deal is only for new subscribers and excludes any DirecTV or U-verse TV customers that might be thinking about switching to DirecTV Stream.
However, returning customers are eligible to sign up at the discounted rates, so long as they didn’t cancel their DirecTV Stream subscription within the past 12 months.
