After rumors suggested Apple was looking to secure the rights to the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, FIFA and DAZN have jointly confirmed an exclusive distribution deal has been agreed for the competition to be streamed on the DAZN platform.
The deal not only ensures DAZN will be the only place to watch the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, but all of the games will also be available to stream for free. As DAZN’s deal also applies globally, soccer fans should be able to tune in and watch the action unfold on DAZN irrespective of where they are located.
According to FIFA, the agreement does include the option for sublicensing of matches to local free-to-air linear broadcast networks. As a result, it is also possible that some games will be available to watch on select local channels, depending on the location.
The availability of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 is part of a wider agreement between FIFA and DAZN. As part of the same agreement, FIFA+ is set to be integrated into the DAZN platform, unlocking access to live matches, iconic football moments, and full-match replays.
“This groundbreaking deal with FIFA is a major milestone in DAZN’s journey to be the ultimate entertainment platform of choice for sports fans everywhere. We’re delighted to have the exclusive rights to this new chapter in global club football, marking the start of our long-term relationship with FIFA and cementing our status as the home of football,” said DAZN Chief Executive Officer Shay Segev.
As a reminder, the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 is due to begin on Sunday, June 15 and continue through Sunday, July 13, 2025. During the month-long tournament, 32 clubs worldwide will compete in a total of 63 matches across 12 venues in the U.S. Eventually, one team will be crowned the winner and the first official holder of the ‘FIFA Club World Champions’ title.
