Frndly TV has added a new ‘Staff Picks‘ row to the Home screen in a bid to provide additional recommendations to subscribers. According to the company, these recommendations are populated with “our team’s favorite shows and movies.”
Frndly TV also explained that the row will be updated regularly, so subscribers can expect new recommendations to come through on a fairly routine basis. Based on a screenshot shared by Frndly TV, it is possible that the ‘Staff Picks’ row will be updated on a monthly basis.
Regardless of how often, the new row can now be accessed directly within the Frndly TV app on devices that support the Home screen. In spite of being a very common part of the user experience with other streaming apps, Frndly TV only began rolling out a Home screen in early 2024, with the feature first becoming available on Android TV and Apple TV devices, as well as Vizio TVs.
As explained at the time, Frndly TV’s Home screen is designed to offer easier navigation, a personalized experience, and quicker access to trending content. Following this latest Home screen upgrade, access to Staff Picks can also now be added to that list.
For those completely new to Frndly TV, this live TV streaming service offers access to more than 50 live TV channels from as little as $7.99 a month. This makes it one of the cheapest options for a live TV package with access to the likes of A&E, Dove Channel, Hallmark Channel, ION, Lifetime, MeTV, and The Weather Channel, among others.
