If you’re in the market for a new live TV plan, and want access to out-of-market NBA games, Sling TV is now offering the option to bundle its Sling Orange base plan with NBA League Pass at a cheaper price than usual. The downside is that you have to prepay for 6 months at a cost of $270.

To put the savings into perspective, the Sling Orange base plan costs a minimum of $40 a month, totaling $240 over the course of the six months. NBA League Pass can be added to the Sling Orange plan for an additional $15 a month, resulting in an additional $90 over six months.

With an overall total of $330 on a monthly basis for Sling Orange with NBA League Pass, the $270 bundle deal offers a saving of $60 over the six months. Another way of looking at the savings is that $270 breaks down to around $45 a month on average, meaning the NFL League Pass add-on is reduced down to just $5 a month.

Technically, Sling is still running its long-term half-off promotion which reduces the price of Sling Orange down to as low as $20 for the first month. While this means the savings noted with the $270 bundle won’t be as high as illustrated, the bundle still works out to be the cheaper option over a full six-month period.

For those unable to pay for six months in advance, Sling is also offering the option to pay monthly and save $5 when bundling NBA League Pass with Sling Orange. This deal brings the price of the base plan and basketball add-on down to $49.99 a month for the first 6 months.

Sling does offer two main base plans to choose from, but Sling has opted to bundle NBA League Pass with the Orange package as it is the better choice for basketball fans in general. For example, Orange includes access to ESPN and TNT, making it possible for subscribers to watch nationally televised games.

While this bundle price is only available to new subscribers, it is worth existing subscribers noting that Sling TV is currently running a free preview of NBA League pass, offering access to some of this week’s games without paying for the premium upgrade.

For those not looking to sign up to a live TV package, Sling is also offering the option to subscribe to NBA League Pass through its Freestream service and save $5 on the first month.

While Freestream provides access to a selection of free FAST channels and on-demand content, it is also possible to add standalone premium streaming services. Through Freestream, NBA League Pass costs $14.99 a month, the same as when adding to a paid live TV plan, but right now the first month is available for just $10.
