In celebration of the start of football season, Google is currently offering Premium Play Points members the chance to win a free NFL Sunday Ticket subscription.
YouTube is now the official provider of NFL Sunday Ticket and the cost of a subscription depends on a number of factors, including whether signing up through YouTube or YouTube TV and whether bundling NFL RedZone.
However, with the cheapest option still costing $300, and that’s presuming you’re paying for YouTube TV at the same time, Sunday Ticket is an expensive addition for football fans. For those interested in completely removing the cost of Sunday Ticket, it might be worth considering Google’s latest giveaway.
Platinum-tier Play Points members in the US can enter the giveaway through the Enter to win NFL Sunday Ticket link in the Perks tab (under Limited Time Platinum Deal) of their Google Play Points accounts (via the Google Play website or app). Once the winners have been selected, they will be notified by email.
The giveaway went live on September 7 and is due to close on September 13th at 11:59 PM PST. It is also worth noting that there will be a total of 855 winners, so there are plenty of free subscriptions up for grabs.
From what we understand, the giveaway is specifically for an NFL Sunday Ticket subscription through YouTube, so it won’t matter whether the winners already have a YouTube TV subscription or not. Likewise, they won’t have to pay for YouTube TV to redeem the free Sunday Ticket subscription either.
As a reminder, Sunday Ticket provides access to every out-of-market Sunday afternoon game that’s not available in a viewer’s local broadcast area. In other words, access to games not shown on NBC, CBS, or Fox.
With Sunday Ticket now provided by YouTube, subscribers also get access to some of YouTube’s latest sports features, including Multiview, Key Plays, and more.
