Google has started rolling out a new Where to Watch feature on Google TV that’s designed to make it easier to find information on where platform users can stream movies, series, sports and more.

Earlier this year, Google announced three new Gemini features were coming to the Google TV platform. These new features included Richer Visual Help, Deep Dives, and Sports Briefs.
As part of the Richer Visual Help improvements, Gemini on Google TV was gaining the ability to deliver more relevant and detailed responses, including details on where to find and watch content.
It is this Where to Watch feature that is now officially in the process of rolling out. The feature began to become available on Friday and Streaming Better can confirm the feature works as intended.
In the screenshot at the top of this article, for example, you can see how the app recommendations are displayed after performing a search.
In situations where direct watch links are also available, Gemini will provide those links as well, making it possible to click straight through to the content and start watching.
Technically, Google TV was previously capable of providing links for certain content. Specifically, some live sports. The difference now is the Where to Watch support is more universal and far-reaching.
As an example of that furthering reach, even when searching more vaguely (for example, without a specific title in mind), Gemini’s responses also now include dedicated app recommendations, not just generic text lists.
With the new feature also taking the viewer’s location into consideration, Google TV users can expect to see app recommendations that are specifically relevant to their current location.
To test the feature for yourself, simply ask Gemini where you can find something to stream. Unlike before, the assistant’s response will now include a tailored list of app recommendations.
Whether it is a classic movie, a popular series, or a specific live game, Where to Watch should help to take the guesswork out of figuring out where content is available.
