Apple TV+ subscribers now have access to MLS Season Pass for free for the remainder of this season. Considering the season runs mid-way through October, that’s more than a month of soccer at no additional cost.
At the start of the season, MLS Season Pass was priced at $12.99 a month for Apple TV+ subscribers, or $79.99 a season. By May, Apple TV+ subscribers willing to pay for the whole season were being offered the option to sign up for as little as $59.
With September now here, the cost has been wiped away completely. Although free, Apple TV+ subscribers will still need to ‘subscribe‘ to MLS Season Pass through the Apple TV+ website or in the Apple TV app to gain access to the live soccer games and related programming.
It should also be noted that the subscription will auto-renew at full price ahead of the start of the 2025 season. With this in mind, Apple TV+ subscribers will need to unsubscribe again, if they want to avoid paying the full price next year.
While it is annoying to have to subscribe and unsubscribe again, this is a good opportunity for Apple TV+ subscribers to test out MLS Season Pass over an extended period and see if it is actually worth paying for a subscription next year.
For those not currently subscribed to Apple TV+, and not considering signing up, the cost of MLS Season Pass has dropped down to $9.99 for the remainder of the season. Similar to Apple TV+ subscribers, the MLS Season Pass will auto-renew next season at full price, unless canceled.
