The NESN Nation FAST channel is now available on Samsung TV Plus and LG Channels. The latest expansion is set to greatly increase the reach of the free sports network.
Announced earlier this year, NESN Nation is a fairly new entrant to the FAST market, and with this being a new channel, device support was a little limited to begin with. At launch, access to NESN Nation was limited to Amazon Prime Video, The Roku Channel, Twitch and Plex.
With LG Channels and Samsung TV Plus also now offering the channel as part of their FAST lineups, millions of homes with access to an LG or Samsung TV can now see what NESN Nation has to offer.
Speaking of which, NESN Nation provides access to more than 30 hours of weekly live and original programming, including live games and additional gameday content, press conferences, interviews, documentaries and more.
Even though the channel isn’t designed to be a replacement for NESN and NESN+, or the standalone NESN 360 direct-to-consumer streaming service, it is a way for New England sports fans to access additional content.
It is also a way for those without access to any of the other NESN channels and services to access some content in general. On Sunday, March 23, for example, the network will be streaming the Boston Red Sox’s spring training game against the Minnesota Twins at 1 p.m. ET.
Although NESN had previously suggested Samsung TV Plus support would become available prior to the March 9 Red Sox Spring training game, support has at least arrived in time for the second game, and along with support for LG smart TVs.
