DirecTV Stream subscribers currently have access to a free Showtime preview, making it possible to watch all of the popular movies and series available through the network for free through Sunday.

Those signing up to DirecTV Stream for the first time do currently have the option of adding Showtime to their live TV package for free for the first free months. For existing subscribers, adding Showtime to their plan will cost up to $11 a month.

Over this weekend, however, existing DirecTV Stream subscribers can watch as much Showtime as they want for free. The DirecTV Stream Showtime preview went live today (August 10) and remains active through Sunday (August 13), resulting in 4 days of free access to the network.

To start watching any of the live Showtime content, simply select any of the Showtime channels in the live guide, starting at channel 545. Alternatively, search the on-demand section to find any Showtime movies and series to watch over this weekend.

Typical of DirecTV’s free previews, this Showtime free preview is not only available to DirecTV Stream subscribers but also DirecTV via Internet (starting at channel 545), DirecTV via Satellite (Channels 545-556), and U-verse (channels 852-866 for SD and channels 1852-1866 for HD) subscribers as well.

As this is a free preview, DirecTV Stream subscribers also won’t need to worry about canceling Showtime. Instead, access will simply be removed after the free preview comes to an end.

For fans of Billions, it is worth noting that the first episode of the seventh (and final) season will be available to watch live on Showtime on Sunday, August 13 at 8 p.m.
