If you own a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, you can currently get the first three months of Apple TV+ for free. While Sony and Apple have teamed up to offer similar free trials before, the most recent free trial promotion came to an end in January of this year.

With the offer now back again, those PS4 and PS5 owners who didn’t take advantage of one of the previous extended free trials now have another chance to stream the Apple TV+ library of originals, including Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Invasion, Hijack, Silo, and Ted Lasso, for free for longer than usual.

PlayStation 4 and 5 owners have up until September 22, 2024 to redeem the current extended Apple TV+ free trial.

Even if you’ve been an Apple TV+ subscriber in the past, you may still find you are able to get three months free, as the promotion is also open to “qualified returning subscribers” as well. As the exact definition of a ‘qualified‘ returning subscriber varies between streaming services, mileage might vary.

Whether a new or returning subscriber, taking advantage of the offer is as simply as downloading the Apple TV app on the PlayStation 4 or 5 console and signing up. Qualified new and returning subscribers should automatically get access to the service for free for the first three months.

Once the first three months come to an end, the subscription will automatically renew at the usual price, currently $9.99 a month in the United States. Subscribers wanting to avoid paying the full monthly price will need to make sure they manually cancel the subscription before the end of the third free month.
