Sling ended the fourth quarter, and 2025 as a whole, with just under two million Sling TV subscribers. The subscriber update confirms the live TV streaming service lost subscribers during the final three months of the year.

  • Sling TV ended 2025 with 1.98 million subscribers, down about 15,000 in Q4 and more than 100,000 year‑over‑year.
  • Dish TV lost about 150,000 subscribers in Q4 and around 665,000 across 2025, finishing the year at 5.02 million.
  • Overall, Q4 subscriber losses were lower than the prior year, but total annual losses were higher than in 2024.

Considering Sling TV closed out the third quarter of 2025 with 1.99 million subscribers, the service lost around 15,000 subscribers during the most recent quarter.

On a year-over-year basis, Sling also saw a decline in subscribers. After finishing 2024 with 2.09 million subscribers, the live TV service lost more than 100,000 subscribers during 2025.

Similar to Sling TV, EchoStar also reported a drop in Dish TV subscribers.

After closing out the previous quarter with 5.17 million subscribers, Dish TV ended the most recent quarter with 5.02 million, resulting in a decline of around 150,000 subscribers during the final three months of the year.

When compared to the previous year, EchoStar reported less than 5.69 million Dish TV subscribers for the end of 2024, resulting in a loss of around 665,000 during the year.

Overall, EchoStar reported a total of 7.00 million pay-TV subscribers for the end of 2025, a decline compared to the 7.16 million reported for the end of the third quarter, and a decline on the 7.78 million pay-TV subscribers reported for the end of 2024.

While not great news for Sling TV and Dish TV, the quarterly decline was lower than last year. Although 168,000 subscribers were lost during the fourth quarter of 2025, the company lost 253,000 during the same quarter of the year before.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for the year overall. Compared to the 750,000 subscribers lost during 2024, the two live TV services lost a combined 780,000 subscribers throughout 2025.
