This weekend will be the first time that the popular Yellowstone prequel series 1883 will be available to watch on Paramount Network, and right now Sling TV is offering its Entertainment Extra add-on (which includes Paramount Network) for free for the first month to all new users.

Sling has two main base plans for new subscribers to choose from, Sling Orange and Sling Blue. While both plans come with very similar channel lineups in general, neither base package offers access to Paramount Network.

Instead, Paramount Network is available through Sling’s Entertainment Extra add-on. This optional upgrade typically costs $6 per month, and unlocks access to an additional 10 channels, including Paramount Network.

Right now, however, Sling is offering its Entertainment Extra add-on for free for the first month to celebrate the launch of 1883 on Paramount Network. When signing up, the free extra can be added to either Sling Blue or Sling Orange, or even the combined Sling Orange & Blue plan.

What makes this deal even better right now is that Sling is also running a separate promotion that reduces the cost of Sling Orange or Sling Blue down to as low as $15 for the first month, and both of these deals can currently be used together.

In other words, new users can, for a limited time, sign up to a Sling TV base plan, add the Entertainment Extra add-on to watch 1883, and only pay $15 for the first month. That’s a pretty good deal.

For reference, the full list of channels bundled with Entertainment Extra include:

  • CMT
  • FETV
  • Game Show Network
  • Laff
  • Logo
  • MTV
  • MTV 2
  • Paramount Network
  • Revolt
  • TV Land

Obviously, if you plan to watch every episode of 1883 on Paramount Network then you will need to stay subscribed for longer than a month. This will mean paying the usual price of the base plan for the second month, in addition to the cost of the Entertainment Extra add-on. This will work out to be a minimum of $46 a month.

Still, this offer does make it possible for new subscribers to see if they like Sling TV (and 1883) at a cheaper price than usual.
