Sling TV ended the second quarter of 2025 with 1.785 million subscribers. The latest subscriber update confirms a loss of more than 100,000 over the three-month period, and adds to what appears to be a continual decline in subscribers in general.
While Sling TV closed the first quarter of the year with 1.894 million subscribers, this was already significantly down on the 2.09 million subscribers reported for the end of 2024, and this was also down on the 2.14 million subscribers reported for the third quarter of 2024.
Considering Sling TV ended the second quarter of 2024 with 2.06 million subscribers, Sling TV has lost around 275,000 subscribers over the past twelve months.
We have tracked Sling TV’s subscriber journey over the years, and the 1.785 million reported for the most recent quarter is another new low for the live TV service.
A similar situation was in effect with Dish TV. After finishing the first quarter with 5.503 million subscribers, Dish TV closed the second quarter of 2025 with 5.323 million subscribers, a decline of around 180,000 subscribers.
Overall, EchoStar reported a total of 7.108 million Pay-TV subscribers, as of June 30, 2025. This is down on the 7.397 million Pay-TV subscribers reported for the first quarter of 2025, and down on the 8.07 million Pay-TV subscribers reported for the second quarter of 2024.
