DirecTV Stream is celebrating National Streaming Day (May 20) with a big discount on its live TV packages for the first three months. While this promotion brings the cost down to as low as $49.99, it is a super limited-time deal, as new subscribers can only lock in the cheaper prices today and tomorrow (May 21).

Entertainment is the cheapest live TV package DirecTV Stream offers and unlocks access to more than 90 channels. With the price down to just $49.99 right now, new subscribers are saving $30 a month ($90 over the course of the three discounted months) on the usual $79.99 a month rate.

For those wanting a richer channel lineup, the Choice plan offers access to more than 125 channels, including regional sports networks, and normally costs $108.99. As part of the same promotion, the price has been dropped to $69.99 a month for the first three months resulting in a $39 monthly discount ($117 over the first three months).

While the Ultimate plan normally costs $119.99 a month, that has also now been discounted by $30 a month, bringing the monthly cost down to $89.99 for the first three months. Likewise, the Premier plan normally costs $164.99 a month and has been discounted down to $134.99 for each of the first three months, resulting in a total saving of $90 over three months.

DirecTV StreamDeal Price
Entertainment$79.99 $49.99
Choice$108.99 $69.99
Ultimate$119.99 $89.99
Premier$164.99 $134.99

As these discounts only apply to the first three months, subscribers should expect their live TV package to renew at the usual higher rate after the promotional period ends. The only way to avoid this happening is to cancel the subscription before the end of the final discounted month.
