What You Need to Know

  • YouTube TV has rolled out a fully customizable Multiview, letting subscribers choose any combination of channels to watch simultaneously.
  • This marks a major upgrade from the original 2023 version, which only allowed users to pick from pre‑selected sports and news feeds.
  • With the fully customizable version launched, all YouTube TV subscribers should now have access to the latest version.

YouTube TV officially launched its Multiview experience back in March of 2023. At the time, however, the feature was limited, only allowing subscribers to pick from a limited selection of pre-selected sports and news channels.

Since then, YouTube TV has continually been working on expanding the experience. While past expansions have unlocked more channels and genres, it is only now, in April 2026, when subscribers have gained access to a fully customizable version.

According to YouTube’s CEO, Neal Mohan, who announced the launch, the fully customizable Multiview is now available, so subscribers should be able to immediately check it out by selecting multiview while watching content.

With Multiview now fully customizable, YouTube TV subscribers can choose the exact channels they want to include in their grid view, unlocking the ability to watch any combination of sports, news and entertainment content.

As a reminder, and as is typically the case with all Multiview experiences, while fully customizable, YouTube TV’s implementation is still limited to a maximum of four feeds at the same time.

While technically a limitation, if you find you need to watch more than four channels at the same time, the reality is you probably need more than one television.
