All of DirecTV Stream’s live TV packages are due to increase in price this Sunday. The company confirmed the price increase last month, but with the change taking effect on Nov. 5, now’s a good time for a reminder.
DirecTV Stream’s cheapest package is Entertainment. Currently priced at $74.99/mo., this plan is due to increase to $79.99/mo., resulting in an increase of $5. Choice is the cheapest option for those looking for a package with access to RSNs, and the price of this plan will increase from $99.99/mo. to $108.99/mo., resulting in a $9 increase.
Moving up the price (and channel) ladder, the Ultimate plan will increase from $109.99/mo. to $119.99/mo., resulting in a $10 increase. At the same time, the Premier plan will increase from $154.99/mo. to $164.99/mo., also resulting in a $10 increase.

While these changes will take effect immediately on November 5th for new subscribers, existing subscribers will see their plan increase in price on or after Nov. 5. The exact date will depend on their individual billing cycle.
If new to DirecTV Stream, it is possible to sign up at an even cheaper price than the current rates, if signing up before the price increase takes effect. The live TV streaming service is running a promotion which reduces the cost of any of its plans by $10 a month for the first three months.
If signing up before Sunday, this will make it possible to subscribe to the Entertainment package at $64.99 for the first month. Alternatively, subscribe to Choice at $89.99, Ultimate at $99.99, or Premier at $144.99 for the first month.
While this promotion won’t maintain those lower prices for the additional two discounted months, it will still offset the cost of the price increase for all three of the first three months.
